Instructions

These are the instructions for writing the research paper. They include basic information on finding a topic, research, taking notes, etc. This should be studied carefully before beginning the research project.

Rubric

A rubric is a tool for determining the quality of an assignment. Study the rubric for this assignment to know specifically what is expected for grading.

Bibliographic Style

When citing sources (identifying where you got your information from) you need to record certain information and present it in a certain order. This is called bibliographic style. The link contains the current MLA (Modern Language Association) standards for citing sources in your research paper.

These forms are to be filled out for each source used during the research depending on the type of source that it is.

Outline

This link contains a terms list, outline plan, and an example outline.

Example

This is a sample paper that shows students the format of quotations, citations, and bibliography in practice. The style in which a paper is written may vary depending upon the subject.

Paper Format

Citation Machines

Students may use citation machines to create their bibliographies. Enter citation source information into the given blanks and the program will organize the information into the proper format. Use the MLA format only. Above are links to different citation makers. Each is structured a little different but they do the same thing.
